"The Connected Cowl uses a simple stitch repeat to create a highly textured, 3d, chunky fabric, making it incredibly warm! Perfect for those cold windy days where your hands are shoved too tightly in your pockets to hold your scarf in place! The stitches work together to create a beautiful net like pattern, each stitch reaching out to connect with the others. Although the pattern looks complex, it’s actually a very straightforward stitch repeat so it's perfect for new crocheters or for those looking for a great one night, one skein project. Just one skein of LionBrand Heartland needed!"

NotesYou can make this cowl from any yarn and hook size. Simply alter the foundation row by a multiple of 6 stitches to achieve the size you want!

Interesting textures always intrigue me. The stitches that are used to make up this pattern are familiar to most crafters, but its the combination that makes the difference. The repetitive pattern rows arent difficult, but Im still very glad the designer included a video demonstrating the project. Sometimes its hard to see exactly how the stitches are worked with just a static photo.

At just 23" in circumference, this is certainly a cowl and not meant to be an infinity scarf. But the option IS there for you to switch it up and create an infinity if that is more your preference! The stitch pattern looks like interlocking waves moving across the neck. I can't help but wonder what it would look like if I used an ombre or variegated yarn like a Lion Brand Mandala of ANY color combo. Or, Red Heart's Unforgettable! Really pretty!
