I am rapidly becoming a fan of chunky yarn projects, but have taken to using Bernat Blanket and similar type yarns instead. These give an even more finished look to the individual stitches in addition to the advantages of working up quickly. Looking at the photos on the designers site, I can easily see my teenage granddaughters wearing these to school.
