Let There Be Lace Scarf
"Light and lacy openwork crochet scarf. Advanced Beginner, and only a 2 row repeat. The scarf is worked in 2 pieces, but joined at the center, so there is no seaming. This allows the pattern to drape and flow the same way on both sides of your neck. I used dk weight superwash wool, but you can adapt to worsted or sport weight if you desire. When blocked, the lace really opens up. Perfect for cool fall evenings transitioning into winter and then to spring. Enjoy!!"

These beautiful lace scarves are your choices for the cold fall to winter months. They may be airy but they can provide enough cover from the cold to make you comfortably warm. You can make them in all the colors you want. The possibilities are endless. You can make them wider, longer, oversized.

The scarf is very pretty (I love that the designer shows it in both solid and variegated versions), but hats off to the designer for A) letting the crafter know they will be working TWO separate pieces B) because the lace needs to flow in a certain direction. She even advises that starting with a Foundation Single Crochet wont work with this project either. I would certainly have been tempted to use that method!
