Connected Bows Shawl

"This shawl is simple but elegant. It has a small detail in the middle. The shawl is extra wide so you can wear it in different ways: like a normal scarf around the neck or like a shawl around the shoulders. The pattern is easy to follow and a good project for beginners as well. For this design I worked with a yarn cake called ‘Romance Merino Silk’. It's hand dyed yarn from Austria. It drapes really wonderful and has a nice sheen because of the silk content."

This is a beautiful shawl, the Connected Bows Shawl is a must make on my list! There is a great video showing just how to make this one and also a written pattern that is easy to follow. The shawl it self looks so hard to make but with the simple stitches it is easy. I love the sound of the yarn she used, but so need a cheaper one with the same colores. Any ideas would be nice.. Thanks Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet shawl pattern.

Stunning ombre color here with a gorgeous stitch style, too!

This project is surprisingly simple to work up. Once you get the initial rows complete, the rest of the shawl is a simple three row repeat until you get the length you want. The written instructions as clear enough, but I am always happy to see a video as well. This one is nicely shot, and it is easy to see the little details. When a designer goes to the trouble of creating a video, I always watch it first.

This is so nice. It's amazing how a simple stitch can turn out something so pretty. It's so easy and the video is great. I like the ones without talking.msome times that's just distracting. And to clear up a previous misstatement, it isn't merino and silk, it's merino with silk in it.

How stunningly beautiful is this shawl/scarf? When I think of a great substitute for the Merino wool and silk, my mind like to wander to the Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball in the metallic color choices! Can you feel it? I mean, can you picture it? The Moonstone colorway would work great for this since it has mauves and grays in it.

Hooray for a new shawl pattern for these cold winter days. It is simple but not too simple and the color choice used adds some Spring flair. The designer made this one with a combo yarn of Merino and Silk, but you can find a substitution if you dont want to put that much money into it.
