Finished the largest size in under 2 weeks, loved the texture and feel of this pattern. I am now half way though doing another larger one without the ripple and it looks even better.

Just love this pattern......I started the largest size last night and I am working it in 5 different colours. I am working it in 8 ply acrylic yarn using a size 4.5mm hook. Many thanks for the pattern.

I forgot to mention: I'm using an "I" hook, in case it matters to anyone else.

I am making this afghan in camouflage (6 rows) and black (2 rows) repeated, for the Linus Project. They said they had lots of cute pastel afghans, but needed some "manly" ones. What's more manly than camo?? I LOVE the texture of this afghan. Any time I take it out of the house to work on, people stop and want to touch it. One person even said it looked like velvet. The pattern is easy, but for an adult size, it's not exactly a "quickie"! I will definitely use this pattern again.

We loved this pattern. Although, we did make it wider . It seems narrow. Nut works up pretty fast. We will be honesrt though-- didn't do Tr crochets - we did DC and it still was a really nice patter,. Thanks for sharing !,
