- Two pieces of 16” x 16” lining fabric
- Sewing Needle
- Thread
- 5 Wide Pieces of Cardboard
- Tapestry Needle
- Polyester Stuffing

STITCH GUIDE:
Motif
With CC, ch 3, join with sl st to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), 11 more dc in ring, join with sl st to top of beg ch-3 – 12 dc.
Rnd 2: With MC, sl st bet next 2 dc, ch 3, dc in same sp, [2 dc in sp bet next 2 dc] around, join with sl st to top of beg ch-3 – 12 2-dc clusters.
Rnd 3: With CC, sl st to sp bet next 2 clusters, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, [3 dc in sp bet next 2 clusters] around, join with sl st to top of beg ch-3 – 12 3-dc clusters.
Rnd 4: With MC, sl st to sp bet next 2 clusters, ch 3, [2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] in same sp, {[3 dc in sp bet next 2 clusters] twice, [3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] in sp bet next 2 clusters} 3 times, [3 dc in sp bet next 2 clusters] twice, join with sl st to beg ch-3. Fasten off.
PILLOW
Front
CC1 Motif (make 4)
Make 4 Motifs, using CC1 as the CC.
CC2 Motif (make 5)
Make 5 Motifs, using CC2 as the CC.
Back
Work Rnds 1-4 of Motif, using only MC.
Rnd 5: Sl st to corner sp, ch 3, [2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] in same sp, {[3 dc in sp bet next 2 cl] to next corner sp, [3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] in corner sp} 3 times, [3 dc in sp bet next 2 cl] to corner sp, join with sl st to top of beg ch-3.
Rep Rnd 5, 10 more times. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Arrange CC1 and CC2 Motifs in 3x3 grid, so CC2 Motifs are in each corner and in center. Sew Motifs tog.
Pillow Form
Place both pieces of Lining fabric tog. Sew around 3½ sides, using ½” seam allowance. Turn right side out
and stuff with polyester stuffing. Sew tog rem edge.
Holding WS of Front and Back tog, attach yarn to corner sp.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, {[5 sc] in corner sp, sc evenly along edge to next corner sp} 3 times, place Pillow Form inside Pillow, rep from { to } once more, join with sl st to beg sc. Fasten off.
Tassel (make 4)
Wrap MC around cardboard 25 times. Cut through all strands at one end. Tie 10" piece of MC around un-cut end, tightly. Wrap CC1 around top of Tassel to secure. Hide ends inside Tassel and trim. Sew a tassel to each corner of Pillow.

What a nice looking motif toss pillow! I have never worked with the Debra Norville yarns before, but the colors look amazing! This would be great for a teen's room or a college dorm room. Black, white, and gray would look phenomenal as well. It doesn't seem difficult to make at all!
