This trellis basket can be made to suit your size preference, and quite easily, too! The base just increases as per a basic increasing formula. You will use a medium worsted weight yarn, a double strand at the same time. Baskets can be used to present a wonderful gift of home baked bread and other baked treats!

What a very pretty basket. The design is great. Im adding it to my list of things to make. There are a lot of basket postings, but this one is a bit different. It is a very unique and a sturdy design. This will definitely by a useful project for me. Thanks for sharing.

I love the look of this Simply Irresistible Diamond Trellis Basket. I also appreciate the American PDF download link that is down the page. These is a nice video showing how this is done and that helps a lot to figure out how to do the stitches. This basket would be a way to use up some of my half balls of yarn. Just hoping my hands can handle crocheting 3 trains together. Thank you for sharing this free crochet pattern.
