I can remember my Grandmothers in the kitchen. Both my Mom's and my Dad's mom would done an apron when they went into the kitchen. (I guess I am telling my age) That was tradition back in the day. In the heated rush of cooking now we typically do not take the time to use one but I think the idea is nostalgic. I like this design and would like to begin a new tradition to pass along to my grand children.

Daphne, indeed women wore aprons in the kitchen. I like to wear my bib apron while I bake for the holidays. It just goes with the ambience. I look forward to finishing my crocheted bib apron.

This pattern does not give a finished size. I am guessing it is for an adult but a small, medium or large adult. With different body shapes even the size of an apron is important. Can anyone indicate the size for this pattern?

The daisy apron is made in one of my favorite color combo. I never thought about crocheting an apron. But this one is so cute, I think I must do it. How about a bridal gift. Matching apron, dish towels and dish clothe. You could go a little overboard and make up 2 placemats )
