If you have any little girls in your life, you probably have at least one who is in love with unicorns. This appliqu would look cute just about anywhere. Think outside the box and consider sewing onto a cloth item and not just crochet. Im thinking the back of a denim jacket and make extra flowers as trim along the sleeves.
