Pretty Pink Butterfly
If you have any leftover yarn, make yourself this Pretty Pink Butterfly. This easy crochet pattern is made using the shell stitch. It's a great stash buster project that can be used in a number of different ways. Add it to your hat, purse, sweater, or coat. Make this Pretty Pink Butterfly in any color you want, but the example shown here was made using pink yarn to commemorate breast cancer awareness.

I have not made the butterfly yet, but I think that you need to start with 4 chains.

I totally agree!! It's the reason I can't get "into" crocheting.

I love the pink butterfly, it's VERY cute! I'd love to try making it someday when I have more experience reading patterns. Does it seem like patterns are written for experienced crocheters and knitters, or is it just me? I'd love ones that are written in clear and concise English for beginners with some kind of standard key available for abbreviations.
