This owl coaster or applique pattern is pretty awesome! There are really so many things you could do with it! Do you know anyone who loves owls? Make a set of these as a gift. Owls are really popular right now, so if you are trying to figure out what people are interested in, it may be a good idea to make some of these!

I can see that this here owl is worked in the round, then you begin with what looks like trebles, then into doubles, then singles which creates the wings. It is a pretty ingenius idea as far as ease of design. Would love to see a bunch of these made up for large coasters and hot pads for the kitchen table!

Owls are a little "hot" right now. I am seeing them in television commercials all of the time. They are always so very "wise" in all of the commercials, lol. These are adorable and would make a cute addition to any handmade or store bought item. This is a way to make it your own.
