This is one of those why didnt I think of that? projects. Beer can, football game, what could be more obvious? This very easy, well written pattern has detailed photos on where to place the lacing of the football. The ONLY change I would suggest is to work a white band at the top and bottom. This makes it a little more challenging because youre changing colors, but still relatively easy.

I don't think the cozies are for keeping hot or cold but they do absorb moisture and make great movable "coasters" and they allow a better grip on a slick can or bottle. I love mine which I made big enough to fit my favorite tall insulated glass. They make great inexpensive gifts. Everyone I have made them for really likes them.

It's very cute, but truthfully -- and I hate to sound "practical" or whatever -- but I don't get the point -- other than it's cute. It doesn't keep the cold drink cold or a hot drink hot like an insulated sleeve would. At best I might make the cozy big enough to COVER an insulated sleeve -- that would work!!!
