"These place mats are so freaking easy and perfect to whip up! Decorate your table this Summer with colorful pride! Simple 3 double crochet clusters in a row is the stitch that makes these place mats. I used Hobby Lobby 'I Love This Yarn' in Red, Royal and White. Then for the simple single crochet and double crochet border, I used 'Old Glory'. I think they turned out absolutely awesome! Of course, you can use any color combination you like!"

Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Crochet Gauge one 3dc-cluster is just over 1/2 an inch

Finished Size12" x 18 1/2" (incl borders)

If youre looking for a simple project that takes basic stitches just beyond Beginner, this is the project for you. The easy, repetitive pattern is quick to work up, and only requires one special stitcha 3 Double Crochet Cluster. There does need to be a correction as the designer specifies which yarn she used for the border, but doesnt provide any instructions about how to work it.
