Cotton Dishcloth
"This classic cotton dishcloth is made in soft 100% cotton yarn, it is a simple to make cloth with just one pattern row so a great project if you are a beginner crocheter, a nice sized cloth which is durable and can be used wet for washing those dishes or dry as a cloth/duster for wiping down your surfaces. Make some for your own kitchen or just add a bottle of dish soap and you have a gift for someone else."

I subscribe to this designers website, so Id already made this dishcloth before. This is a very easy pattern to follow. Once you have your first rows, you simply repeat until the center of the cloth is the size you want. What really attracted me to this pattern was the extra wide edges as they seem to give structure to the entire piece. I made the first one in about an hour, but I was watching TV as well.

These cloths would make a very nice addition to my spa basket collection. I like to keep a couple made up in advance to have on hand for an emergency gift such as an unexpected bridal shower or a welcome to the neighborhood gift. They could be personalized to match a specific color scheme too.

This pattern would make a beautiful wash cloth set! If you combine it with a handmade soap in a cute little basket I can see several of these sets in my front entry closet for those who visit around the holidays. Now to choose the colors...I do love giving gifts!!!
