"Tale of Two Rugs: Fancy Jersey & Use What You’ve Got By The Firefly Hook I designed these rugs for my boho living room. I started with “Use What You’ve Got,” playing with the various fabric yarns I had on hand. Without this playful experiment, I would have never stumbled upon the combination in “Fancy Jersey.” (See if you can spot the combo at the bottom of the photo on the above left.) I love the idea of making things for your own home. Think of what you’d pay for a custom piece anywhere else! And Use What You’ve Got is a lesson in “waste not, want not” –an adage older than “Earth Day” passed down from a generation that has less, used what they had, and wasted almost nothing."
