Memorial Day Crochet Star Garland
It's almost Memorial Day weekend, and your friends and family are coming over soon. You're read to fire up the grill, but perhaps you'd like to decorate your home a bit for the occasion. Instead of purchasing a decoration, consider making your own with the Memorial Day Crochet Star Garland. This crochet pattern is easy to make, so you could make it the night before your event. You'll love how this crochet garland will look over your front door or in your backyard. This understated and patriotic decoration can be used on the Fourth of July, too.

I found this too late to make and display for the Memorial day holiday but I still intend to make a couple of the stars. My veteran husband would appreciate a couple of these in a frame to hang in his office. Instead of using yarn, I plan to use thread so that they will be a little smaller. I want to place three in frame. One for each of our daughters.

Stars are wonder shapes and they can be used for more than just to celebrate America. I am a school teacher and I use stars to celebrate good work. As a primary school teacher, the students would love to have these displayed in the classroom above their work. Let's see, how many will I have to make, lol.

This is a nice downloadable project, but I do wish there were some more photos of each part of the project. Its a great scrap buster since only small quantities of yarn are required. Wouldnt this be a fun family project, too? Each person could work their own version of the Red, White, and Blue, and display them all together for any patriotic holiday you can choose.

As much as I love the patriotic red, white, and blue theme- I have an idea to make these for the holidays using gold, silver, and white. How special this would be strung on the tree! Or, they could probably be made in a color theme that coordinates with your living space- If you are into the rustic or country chic look. Stars are always in fashion. Cute!
