Some must have had an ottoman in need of a little love. What a spectacular idea. Granny squares are so versatile and this is an excellent use of them. However on an ottoman, I would have used a darker color for the main color so not to show wear or dirt so quickly. I love this.

Wouldn't this be a great addition to a game room if you designed and made two to represent dice. The principle would be the same but the Granny Squares would be statically placed to represent the number. Great way to upgrade a worn ottoman or to even inspire to make it from scratch.

I dont have anything nearly the size of that ottoman, but I do think you could take the same idea and make up something smaller. It would be fun to work it up as a giant Rubics Cube or even as individual die blocks as a childs toy. Because youre working with individual Granny squares, you can make it any geometric shape you need.

For real, why couldn't I even make this cover and then stuff it tight with polyfill from Hobby Lobby? I bet I could. Also, loving all the colors used. It is so playful! I would probably cheat and make all my circles in one color and just be done with it, to give mine a more modern look. The one pictured is more country vintage charm. I would love to do a teal circle with a gray border!

Some ones creative juices were flowing when they came up with this one. I love it. It's so easy. The first project I crocheted 50 years ago was a granny square so I am partial to them. I like this one with all the different colors because you are sure to find colors that will fit in with your decorating theme.
