"American Flag Garden Sign Crochet Pattern By Sara Sach Skill: Easy Materials: Crochet Hook – K /6.50MM Yarn – Chunky (5) 50 oz. of each color – Loops and Thread Charisma C1 – Red, C2 - white, C3 – Blue, C4 - Yellow Yarn needle Stitches: Chain (ch) Slip Stitch (slst) Single Crochet (sc) Double Crochet (dc) Notes: Ch3 Counts as a dc. When changing colors, ch3 after the color change. When changing colors, do not cut your yarn. Size: 17 X 15 inches Great Patriotic Decoration that you can stitch up really quick, because it is crocheted using chunky yarn! The Flag is Trimmed off with a easy shell stitch border. The Cute Start is embroidered on. I made this one in about 2 hours!"

NotesI chose to use the Charisma Chunky (5) From Loops and Thread, Micheal's because although
it is chunky, it is not heavy.
And if it gets rained on, or dirty,
I can wash it and hang it up to dry.

If you do not have chunky (5) yarn on hand,
2 strands of Worsted Weight (4),
held together will also work.

Easy

Crochet HookK/10.5 or 6.5 mm hook

Yarn Weight(5) Bulky/Chunky (12-15 stitches for 4 inches)

Finished Size17 X 15 inches

This is such a quick project to work up it almost classifies as a scrap buster! Sara has provided a nice video tutorial as well as a photo reviewing how to change yarn color in the middle of a row. The pattern couldnt be easier asexcept for the shell borderthe whole thing is worked in Double Crochet. You can work up an actual crocheted star instead of embroidering one, too.
