Upcycled Hearts
"These Upcycled Hearts can be used for not only a Valentine's Decoration, but you can also use them for a special Anniversary party, a child's bedroom decoration or even as props in an Engagement Photo! The possibilities are only limited by your creativity. Make these hearts from the one inch rings found around the lids of bottled water! Any worsted weight yarn will work and you can change the colors to anything you like. This is an easy pattern that only uses single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet stitches and it works up extremely fast!"

I dont know what brand of water the designer buys, but every time I have tried one of these upcycled projects its almost impossible for me to wrestle the darn rings off. I know its cheating but Ive found that a 1 inch diameter Magic Circle works just as well for most applications. Its not quite as sturdy as the water bottle or curtain ring, but I dont have to buy anything extra or wrestle with my recyclables.
