Crochet Snowflake Pattern
This crochet Snowflake is beautiful, delicate and lacy. It is fun and easy to crochet. Using this Snowflake free crochet pattern, you can make attractive Christmas ornaments or very special package tie-ons. My crochet Snowflake is worked up in four rounds and is made with cotton thread size 10. For a more delicate look you can use cotton thread size 20 or 30. Finished size: Snowflake is about 4-1/2” in diameter. Materials: •Crochet cotton thread size #10 •Crochet hook size 1.8 mm
Crochet Hook6 or 1.8 mm hook (steel)
Yarn Weight(0) Lace (33-40 stitches to 4 inches). Includes crochet thread.
Finished SizeSnowflake is about 4-1/2” in diameter.

This dainty project is a nice alternative to the tatted versions. Needle Tatting is a lot easier than regular tatting, and this crocheted version even easier than that. The trickiest parts in Round 3 really could have benefited by a few more photos though. Ive found working these thread projects in regular worsted first lets me learn the pattern with less frustration. If nothing else, read through and bookmark her excellent blocking instructions!

I love the elegant and lacy look of these snowflakes. They seem easy enough to make that I would cover my tree in them!
