Oh so pretty! I love this soft and smooth slightly slouchy hat, with NO POM POM. Not a lot of hat patterns out there these days that do not have pom poms, either yarn or faux fur. It makes this hat a little bit more sophisticated. Well, that and the yarn! It is different in that the rows are worked back and forth and not around. Pretty pastels would be great on fair haired girls and the deeper jewel tones are perfect for the dark haired women,

This hat is worked a bit differently than most. The initial band is worked in the round as usual. The body of the hat is also worked in the round, but instead of joining and continuing in the same direction, you Chain 1 and TURN, working the stitch pattern in the opposite direction until you come to the Join again. This continues until the hat is complete. I worked a Foundation Double Crochet to start the band. No chance of twisting then.

Wow what a beautiful hat this one is. I love the colors in this yarn. After reading the written pattern and then the comments, I see there was some re-wrights to the pattern. I so hope it works out now. I'll be using a H hook for the whole hat pattern and make it not so slouchy. From what I see if you just do the pattern step by step it will work out nicely. I'm looking forward to wearing this cute hat. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

This is lovely pattern made even more beautiful with this yarn. I have used it before and it works up like a dream. It is also warm and cozy so your walk in the woods will be a pleasure.

The mix of colors in this hat is absolutely breathtaking. I love the striped design. It looks cozy enough for any winter day!
