This hat uses the very trending waistcoat stitch. This stitch makes the single crochets looks like V's or like small little hearts. So cute and pretty. I was so happy to find this project because I really want to do more with the Waistcoat Stitch. So far the only thing Ive made is a washcloth, so Im ready for a challenge in the round! This designer provides a nicely written set of instructions along with numerous links to various stitches and techniques. There is an instructional video specifically on the Waistcoat Stitch near the bottom of the page, too.
