What a charming story! I had a good friend who spun dog hair into yarn, and I remember my own rudimentary efforts at the art. I never could master it, but at age 10, my oldest daughter was demonstrating both spinning and weaving at a local youth museum. I love the pattern the designer has provided, but I wish shed included more of those intriguing hats!
