This messy bun hat is so very cool to keep your head so very warm. This is such a cute and fun pattern add a matching scarf to get a perfect gift set. I plan on making a few of these sets for the girls in the office that I work with. I think they will love it as much as I do.

This attractive bun hat actually starts with working the puff stitches around a hair elastic. This keeps the hole neat and begins the pattern immediately rather than switching later on in the project. Using bulky yarn and a size K hook means it will work up quickly. The free pattern only applies to the adult version, but the author does have the other sizes available for a small fee.

I love this stitch. I have used it a lot on baby clothes and purses that I make. Some people call it a puff, while others call it a bobble or pop corn stitch. Whatever you call it, it's well worth learning. It can really dress up a plain item. I may make this for my northern friends and family, since here in Florida it would never be used. Thank you for sharing such a pretty design.
