Unicorns have really been popular this year. I have seen a few hats posted on different sights but I never was inclined to make them. This particular hat has a lot of detail and as real as a unicorn hat can get, this looks like a real unicorn head. This is well done.

I have more than a few little granddaughters who would love this hat! I really appreciate the designer posting all the different sizes because thats exactly describes my granddaughtersall different ages and sizes! The helmet portion is pretty standard, so the designer only includes photos for the horn, ears and fastening the mane. Paired with a pair of fleece pants and a sweatshirt, this would be great for a Halloween costume, too.

Has anybody made this hat yet? I noticed the pattern author has very detailed instructions and sizing changes from newborn to adult. It looks very interesting!

I personally have not made this hat, but I can tell you that Sarah Zimmerman is well known for her patterns. I dont think you will have any trouble with this pattern at all. I love her work and recommend her website and patterns to people all the time. She is also easily found on facebook if you need to ask questions, or just want to follow her there.
