Beachy Keen Tote Bag
"When Mikey crocheted the Beachy Keen Cover Up, I thought it would be fun to crochet a matching tote bag. I used the same Bernat Maker Home Dec yarn in Aqua. My finished bag measures 12″ x 12″, not including the handles. I used 150 grams of the 250 gram ball, so there is plenty of extra if you’d like to make your tote bag bigger. If you are interested in a wider bag, then start with a longer chain keeping it odd, for an even number of beginning single crochets. If you would like a taller bag, then work more pattern rounds."

Tis the season for all manner of beach totes, and there are so many choices out there! This one was designed to match the Crochet Crowds Beechy Keens swimsuit cover up (link on the page), but it can certain stand alone. The open mesh lets both water and sand through. Do be advised that the bag is only 12 square, but its easy to enlarge if you want to.

There are many things to love about this Beachy Keen Tote Bag! One-- it's from the Crochet Crowd website...reliable and dependable! Two-- It's a one ball of yarn project with the definite possibility of creating it even larger than the pattern specifies. Three-- The handles are a part of the design and not merely attached! Add in the fact that as per usual you can create it in almost any color under the sun and you've got on your hands one super tote! Thanks for this great pattern!

I have really got to get busy making my totes for the pool and the lake. There are so many that I like, it is making it difficult to decide! There are instructions for making the bag wider AND/OR taller/longer. It is nice that it can be customized like this. This pattern uses just one skein of yarn to complete, too! I can never get enough of this color, especially poolside this summer.

I love the color of this bag! It could be used as a beach bag, but also as an everyday tote any day of the year for a bright pop of color.
