"When a friend of mine asked if I could make a baby bear hat for her little one, I jumped at the idea of designing another animal hat. When I design my animal hats, I like to draw inspiration from stuffed animals (especially Beanie Boos!), illustrations from children's books and clip art/cartoon images that I find on the internet. My Bear Hat pattern is written for all sizes: 0/3 months - adult. I hope you think it's as cute as I do!"
Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook, I/9 or 5.5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Crochet Gauge15 dc= 4" and 10 rows= 4"

This designer stole my heart with her little Goat hat, and this Baby Bear hat is just as adorable. Everything is based on her Basic Beanie pattern. From there, she shows how to work and add each piece of the face and ears. Theres a nice insert on where to situate the earflaps as well as a video on creating the braids. Thanks for posting this and her other hats!
