True Blue Crochet Hat
Learn to crochet this beautiful "Apache Tears" pattern True Blue Crochet Hat. Using coordinating colors (I used 5 colors) you can create a beautiful hat / clouche that makes a great gift. This is a 5 stitch pattern repeat so learning the pattern is easy. Each color uses very little yarn approximately 2 ozs. of medium weight yarn. It's a great way to use up your yarn scraps. No more wasted yarn. I have included the written pattern link along with the links to the free YouTube video tutorials on my blog post. This hat is sized for 19 " - 24: Head circumference. The ribbed brim allows the hat to stretch for a comfortable fit. You can wear the hat with the brim flat or folded over. I hope you enjoy this pattern. - Yolanda

Textured hats or hats with unusual stitchwork always catch my attention. The technique used to create the design is actually very simple and repetitive. The designer explains the project is great detail using a series of excellent photos in addition to the embedded video. Although the designer didnt include this, I think it would look fantastic with a big pompon on top.
