Im pretty sure Ive run across this designers original Peek a Boo Beanie but Ill need to go back through my pattern stash to double check. Either way, I cant wait to get started on this particular pattern. I love the different textures and will be on the look out for that tweed yarn, too. I have some tweed in my yarn stash but its only a medium weight, not a bulky.

I like the look of this Chunky Peek-A-Boo Beanie. I have made the scarf with is pattern and love the stitch pattern. I like that there are some pictures showing where the stitches should be and the idea of learning a new way to start the whole thing with the (fhdc) foundation half double crochet. I think this makes it look nicer and it's faster too. Love the how to video for it. I don't have the size 6 yarn on hand so I'm thinking of using two strands of #3 size yarn. Hope it works. Thank you for sharing this free crochet beanie pattern.

This is the beanie that goes with the matching scarf that was just released. To get the look of a knit piece when working in crochet, it requires you to use the often neglected and sometimes unknown third loop row. This is a fairly easy stitch but takes a little practice, but that third loop is a bit tricky.

Thank you so much for all these newly posted patterns at this stage in the gift giving season- there's still time to whip up a hat and mittens, or a scarf! The Chunky Peek-A-Boo Beanie is simply to die for. It is a great pattern for everyone in the family, including the guys!
