Basic Beanie
"A while back I needed a fast hat in worsted weight yarn. I made it in crochet because that’s a fast (ulta-fast) way to make a beanie. I like mine to be made from the bottom up with the brim worked flat, as one long strip, and then the body and top worked in the round. I’m 100% certain that this pattern and 18 others exactly like it are already floating around on the internet. It is just a basic beanie pattern after all. But its my basic beanie pattern and now that its posted on my own site, I’ll always know where to find one!"

A beanie is definitely a fast hat to make, and this pattern looks to be about as basic as it gets. I do not like making a separate brim as the author has done here, it seems to take me longer than just a beanie with no extra brim. What is your favorite hat pattern?
