Rnd 9 ends with 66 stitches. Next rnd instructs to stitch hdc in each stitch around and ending with only 60 stitches. Typing error? Looks to me that it should be 66 stitches. Other than that it is an easy, quick pattern.

This took me awhile to get started.......figuring out how to crochet into the horizontal loop required googling despite the drawing........once that was sorted, it went quickly and looks great!

This camo crochet hat looks so easy to make. I have a friend whose brother was recently diagnosed with cancer, and she has asked me to make him a hat to wear if he loses his hair. I think this would be a great pattern to use. Do you have a favorite chemo cap pattern?

I live in the Appalachian mountains, so this time of year I get a lot of demand for hunting hats. I have a few favorites that I work up every year, but this unusual beanie just might earn a place on my Go To list. The yarn is what gives it the swirled look, and I would need to find a way to work Neon Orange in amongst the regular Camo yarn. I sure wish Red Heart would make an ombre in those colors!

I just read your post and it popped into my mind, how about after your finished camo beanie, put a bunch of curly Q's in neon orange on the top!? Maybe add neon green leaves into the top with or w/o curlies! I can just picture it! I just made a toddler "Curly Q Hat" from this site, never knew how to make the curlies (so simple!) and looks so sweet. I can just see a bunch of men decked out in camo with glowing top knots!! Send me a pic if you venture into one! Cindy

I was so glad to see this pattern. There is just no enough pattern for the boys and men in our lives. This hat is super easy to make and I will be making some for charity.
