"This slouchy hat is made with only single crochet stitches. If you know how to work in the round and single crochet, this pattern will be a breeze. There is also a picture tutorial included to help you along. The hat takes only one skein of yarn and is sure to please any fashionable lady or teenager. I crocheted two of this pattern for our family Christmas party. I am trying different hat patterns and making two of each in different yarns. I used Red Heart for both. Used Neon Fleck for one and Aran Fleck for the other. They both have a real nice tweed effect. Now to choose my second new pattern. Thanks so much for the great pattern. Easy to follow instructions.

There is one thing that you should know about when crocheting hats. Most times you will need a hook size smaller to work along the bottom band. This is to make it fit snug and proper without being overly loose. Good to know. Stitch markers are a must when working in the round. If you do not own any, which I don't, I usually end up using a piece of different colored yarn tied lightly around the space indicated. Great hat. Couldn't be more simple!
