Pirate Granny Squares
These Pirate Granny Squares "arrrr" great for those into pirates, ships and skeletons. The crochet instructions provided are for four different squares. Once they're complete you can join them for an amazing blanket or crochet afghan.
Crochet HookF/5 or 3.75 mm hook, H/8 or 5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

I have a couple of little boysand truth be told a few not so little oneswho would love Grandma forever if she worked this up into a throw for them! All the squares start out as basic circle squares of various colors depending on the rest of the design. The three dimensional tidbits are crocheted separately and then sewn on. I can see where the designer is having a tough time deciding how to work the rest of the squares. Black is the only common color.

What I do is copy and paste it to Word, then I delete pics that I don't want to save on ink and paper. As long as I have the initial pic and the web site address with the instructions I am happy. Great patterns isn't it?
