If you can just about crochet granny squares in your sleep, then you might be ready for a bit of a challenge. See a new side (actually, two new sides) of the traditional crochet stitch when you try your hand at the Floral Granny Hexagon. The six-sided easy crochet pattern includes a pretty flower in the center and features an understated border. The result is a beautiful crochet piece that can be included in part of a larger blanket or shawl. Consider using bright and bold colors to create an item that you can't help but notice.

This is such a pretty pattern, but Im a little disappointed after reading through the instructions. The author goes to a great deal of trouble taking the reader through each step of the patternincluding step by step instructions for the popcorn stitch and invisible joinbut there are no directions or link to how to join the grannies to make the afghan at the top of the post.

This is a tutorial for the hexagon, not for the whole blanket.
