Dahlia 12" Afghan Square
"The inspiration for this square was the beautiful repeating petals of the Dahlia flower. This square may be used by itself or in conjunction with other squares or stitches to make throws, bags, table runners, pillows and more. It is worked in worsted weight yarn and is a generous 12" so that projects work up quickly. The center and flower portion are based on the popular African flower look and then it is surrounded with lacy stitching for interest!"

This project is so gorgeous that I might even overcome my fear of the Puff Stitch to attempt it. Ive grown dahlias in the past, and right now I have several tubers resting in the basement, waiting to be potted up for Spring. The lacy green around the crocheted flower reminds me of feathery foliagewhats not to love about this square?
