"I wrote the Snow Drops Mittens pattern to match my Snow Drops Mod Scarf and Snow Drops Slouch Hat, and you will only need two cakes of your favorite Caron Cakes yarn to make all three! Of course you can substitute your favorite worsted weight yarn as well. This free pattern includes a right and left handed tutorial for the star stitch in the round, as well as a right and left handed video tutorial for basic mitten construction."

This pair of mittens was worked with the same self striping cake yarn as the designers hat, and she shows just what happens when you cant control where the yarn goes. She suggests cutting the individual colors if you want the mittens to have symmetrical colored stripes. Theres also an embedded instructional video for both right and left handed crafters demonstrating how to work the Star Stitch in the round.
