I guess it's just me but I am not crazy about the design. At least not for kids. For some reason I picture my grand kids picking at the trellises . It will catch their attention and that will be it. I may make them for a few friends instead. Thank you.

Did you know that there is an option for making these into a full pair of mittens, if that is what you prefer? As far as the diamond trellis pattern goes, a small and shaped project like these fingerless mitts might not be the best one for you if you need to get practice working the stitch. I would recommend choosing a small afghan for that! You can have a larger area to repeat the stitch over and over, if that makes any sense to you.

This is a bit of a tricky project, but the designer takes you through it with wonderfully photographed steps. As for the Diamond Trellis portion, she has thoughtfully embedded a tutorial video if youre not familiar with the stitch, or its been a while since youve worked it. I have worked it before, but I still plan to refresh my memory with the video.
