I havent yet worked anything up with a silk or bamboo yarn, so this might be a great excuse. The project is worked flat and then seamed before adding the top and bottom trim. Ive not seen that Slanted Cluster so I was more than happy to watch the embedded video the designer has provided. So helpful for us visual learners.
