Blue Hawaiian Baby Blanket
"This blanket is designed with a grouping of simple stitches combined to produce a lovely texture that is completely reversible. The blanket looks great in solid colors as well as stripes. I chose to make wide bold color block stripes, but you could do this in any combination you like. I sized this as a baby blanket at approximately 32” x 42”, but I provide the stitch multiple in the pattern so you can adjust it larger or smaller. Designed in worsted weight yarn."
Crochet HookI/9 or 5.5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Now if I were a baby I know I would feel absolutely calm wrapped in this blue Hawaiian baby blanket. The colors are so tranquil and I can only imagine how comforting this textured design provides. I am thinking about taking the advise from the designer and increasing the rows to make an afghan for myself. Thanks for sharing that tutorial on twisted sc.

Wow! This is beautiful. I was really expecting a special crochet technique to get this texted blanket but after reading the directions, I am not seeing anything out of the ordinary. I guess I will have to make a swatch just to see how this beautiful design is accomplished.

Oh my I have been looking for a new baby blanket to make for my great grandchild and this Blue Hawaiian Baby Blanket is it! I love the three stitch bobbles and the border, wow, it looks so sweet! The written pattern is great and easy to follow. I also like the video on how to do the twisted single crochet. What? Yep I learned a new stitch! I am so happy with the pattern that I am going to start it really soon. I did have a problem with trying to print the pattern with the print tab. It wanted to print all the adds over the written patter so you couldn't read it. So I saved the pattern here where It's easy to get to and easy to read. Thank you so much for this free crochet pattern.

Hi auntie, I'm sorry to hear your isp flagged our site. I have checked both this site and the pattern linkout, and both open fine without any sort of warning. We have not had any reports of any of our 7 million users getting a virus or malware from our site and our web servers are at Amazon (AWS) and are scanned for viruses on a regular basis every day. My suggestion would be to make sure your browser is fully updated and that any antivirus software you may have is also updated. Good luck! Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet

The combination of the texture with the bold colors makes this such a gorgeous blanket! This afghan just screams "SUMMER!" and would be perfect as a baby shower gift.

This is a very nicely textured baby blanket, and the color combination is great too. I've made baby blankets before with treble crochet stitch and they come out soft and cushy, so I'm sure this one does too. The designer gives stitch counts so you can make it larger or smaller, whatever you need.
