I have made a bunch of these spiral ornaments, and I love them so much! I used green, purple, and red as the contrasting color to the white. They turned out simply darling. There is a seemingly endless yarn color supply, so you could make these any color you want.

This is not only a cute and quick ornament to make, but it is a great teaching tool or refresher for learning to make a two coloured spiral. You could just keep on going and make it as big as you like. The pattern is easy to follow, and the designer has also included a video tutorial for those who prefer watching to reading. Unfortunately I cannot watch videos or listen to audio when I have all free crochet, etc open as the constant advertisement refreshes throws my computer into a frenzy every time, but it is nice to have for reference if needed.

The "Spiral Crochet Ornament" looks like it could double as some cute coasters for your kitchen table. Just omit the the hang tie. These are so very easy to make, too. If you are looking for a last minute gift for teachers or a casual friend, these would be perfect. You can whip them up in a night and call it done!

This reminded me of my favorite old-fashioned nougat candy. As soon as I saw the pattern, I literally dropped everything to try it. Fortunately, the author provides a link to a video, because I was having a real challenge wrapping my brain around the written instructions. Once you see the video, the written instructions make much more sense. She includes a link for lefties, too! Now my son wants me to make it as a Yin-Yang. Still working on that.

I made some of these last year since my theme was red and white candies. I took some of them and wrapped then in Saran Wrap and wrapped the ends to look like candy. I also glued small craft sticks on to the backs and they became lollipops. Then I also strung them as a garland. Some got put on my wreath. They are so easy and fast you can make them up quickly and go wild.
