Having been through the macram and braided versions of these perennially popular bracelets, I can attest that the crochet version works up so much faster. I keep several different spools of variegated #10 crochet thread for tatting, so I already had the materials on hand. This easy pattern is also available to print off or download, and theres even an option that lets me email it directly to the granddaughters!

Friendship bracelets are always fun to make but even give me more joy when I give them to the people I love. This rainbow freindship bracelet is so easy to make. I plan to have one for all of my family when we meet up for our family reunion as a way to show that we are all part of a group. I know they all will love them.

I was not aware that there was an alternative way to create friendship bracelets. My son and I really had a doozie of a time learning how to make them the traditional way. I would not trade that bonding experience for anything though. Love this design and the options to include beads and make in different sizes.

This is a very cute, easy and fast pattern. It's great for beginners and for those who are teaching people to crochet like I am. I started with this pattern and then added buttons and tiny seed beads. It's so easy to dress it up.i have since added bigger beads and expanded the bracelet as you can see.
