Wow! You ladies are why I visit this sight! You have such great ideas. I can feel the creative juices flowing already! This pattern is so exquisite..the contrast of the soft yarn and the solidness of the pendant! I love it when we can combine two of the crafts that we love and here it's jewelry making and crochet. Now just to taylor it to what I would like to give or keep!

I simply cannot understand how to attach the pendant. It says using the smaller hook to put it through the eye of the pendant and pull the yarn through. How? Is there a loop on the hook? It doesn't make any sense to me. I don't like to start a project if I don't understand the instructions. It's very confusing.

I love the look of vintage items. They are still very popular today with the resurgence of the new television shows that are based in that time period. This statement necklace certainly has a lot to say. I wont be making this though because it looks to heavy and bulky for my taste.

This is a nice pendant necklace to dress up a basic tunic. I'd like to do this one up in a striking black thread with a silver pendant. I can think of lots of color combinations. I don't think this pattern is unreasonable for an advanced beginner to get her initial practice with a small hook and working with thread. I say, you gotta start somewhere!

I like this necklace, but I do wish that there were additional larger photos and from multiple angles. I was happy to see this project did NOT call for crochet thread but thinner yarn instead. I love the color, and am thinking that rather than buying a pendant finding, I might use a crocheted peacock eye instead. I could make matching earrings, too.
