Iris
This crochet iris is so lifelike it will almost fool you into thinking it's real! Put it in your hair in the summer, scatter a few on your dining room table as a centerpiece, or cluster a bunch together in a vase instead of buying fake flowers.

This is just gorgeous, and as a long time floral crafter, you definitely want to use floral wire when shaping the petals. This is one of the more realistic depictions and you want to keep it that way. Ive always had a soft spot for iris anyway. Every year when they come up in my garden, Im reminded of a dear great aunt who collected different varieties of this sturdy flower and generously shared some of her prized ones with me.

I look forward to making one of these Iris after I complete my afghans I'm in the midst of. One is a baby afghan for my daughter's soon to arrive baby boy, and the other is a huge, queen-sized afghan for her bed. The iris is beautiful and I'll need more time to do it than I have now. Thank you for this pattern.
