Free Cactus Pattern
"A free pattern for a lovely set of cacti and succulents. Wonderful to give as a gift or to keep for yourself. This project takes an advanced crocheter about a day to create. Acrylic worsted weight yarn was used in the making of this project, but different kinds of yarn will do nicely also. The pattern includes a written description accompanied by many pictures, and is suited for beginning crocheters as well as advanced crocheters."
Crochet HookE/4 or 3.5 mm hook

Although I am an accomplished outdoor gardener, I am a notoriously killer of indoor plants. After managing to kill a couple different varieties of Tradescantia, I stick to silk and other faux plants instead of the real thing. I love cactus, so Im looking forward to giving these a go. These would look great in a shallow dish with some pebbles, too.

I just want to sit and admire this pot of crocheted cactus all day long. It is amazingly beautiful. I am slightly jealous of the fact that I do not have a pot like this at home myself! This collection is the prettiest one I have seen. And I have never seen the string of pearls before. The pattern is peppered with very nice step by step pics to check your progress along the way. And she gives us some helpful hints and tips, as well.
