These are just gorgeous, and best of all, its a Bring Your Own Blossom project. As long as your flower has eight petals, any flower will work. The detailed photos instruct the crafter on how to build the square surrounding the flower (theres no instructions for the flower itself). So whatever blossom catches your fancyjust remember it needs 8 blossoms for this to worktry a few squares and make your own project.

These are perfect for the crochet beginner. The tutorial is also great for a beginner as it contains round by round written instructions and also several pictures of how you should be progressing in each round. The visuals are very nice to have to compare your own work to them.
