This is a nice coaster project, but that photo really doesnt do it any justice. This is an old pattern, so it might be nice to see an update with a better photo and brighter yarn. If it is supposed to resembles jewels, the yarn used isnt very vibrant. The original calls for using cotton yarn, and there are so many more color choices now than when the project was initially posted.

I think this isn't really a Jewel color, but more pastel than anything else. I would call it a Pastel Coaster instead. Jewels to me are deeper in hue than this coaster's colors suggest.
