Materials Appalachian Baby Design Organic Cotton Sport yarn (100% organic cotton, 4 oz/113 g/250 yd/229 m) – 3 skeins in Natural Undyed, or approximately 555 yd (507.5 m) in any light weight cotton yarn. US Size F-5/3.75 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge. Yarn needle. Gauge Motif = 6” (15 cm) square in pattern. Exact gauge is not critical for this project."

This is just lovely. The lacy squares are almost reminiscent of sand dollars, arent they? This is a huge tote, bigger than I usually consider. Normally, you can drop down a few hook sizes but this project calls for an F size hook to begin with. And there is no way Im using a duct tape liner for this one. Cut up a new pillowcase if you need to, but duct tape? Uh-uh.

A great bag! You could even take it a step further and add some sassy fringe along the bottom. The natural undyed yarn used makes this a very different tote bag it is what sets it apart from the others. Now that I have said that, how about making your motifs in bright colors for summer style at the beach?
