Crochet Chocolate Chip Cookies
Little kids love to play with pretend food. They also love cookies. This free crochet pattern brings those two worlds together. Worked up in a tan yarn, these Crochet Chocolate Chip Cookies will be the delight of any child that receives them as a gift. This would be a great gift to give your child's classroom for the holidays or even for your little one's birthday. The kids will appreciate the new toy and their teacher will appreciate the lack of sugar energy in their classroom.

I have a side board in my dining room and I plan to crochet these and have them on display. I had not thought about making them in several hues as a previous poster. That would make the tray even more realistic.

I found this awesome pattern for little mugs of hot chocolate, and now together with these playtime cookies I can serve up a tray to the little ones. Make chocolate cookies with dark brown yarn, too. Pink ones would look so cute for a Valentine's day tray. I think I'd crochet the chips with my tapestry needle onto the top before attaching it to the base of the cookie.

The kids that I babysit in the neighborhood really love to play with all the toys that I make. This food item is a favorite at tea party time. I like to give these as gifts during the holidays as well to our local hospital charity as part of the stocking stuffers.

This is a very easy, simple pattern yet it's great! My grand daughter loves to play grocery store or chef. But the plastic and cardboard food breaks, tears or wears out. With these, she can play and they won't do any of that, plus they can be put into a mesh bad and tossed into the washer. Thank you
