He is soft, huggable and perfectly-sized for small hands. If you want to give this a try using medium weight yarn, please use a hook size 4 mm (G) and larger black safety eyes. If you are giving this monkey to a baby or small child please consider using embroidered eyes instead of safety eyes."

For such a tiny little monkey, there are a lot of parts! I also have to confess that since this project is designated as a Crochet Along, I figured there had to be a video involved somewhere. Doesnt look like thats the case this time. There is a print or .pdf option, so do take advantage of those. This isnt one of those patterns you want to keep scrolling through to find your place.

This is an easy to crochet project that can be completed in just a few hours and that is what makes it great for a last minute gift idea for a baby shower or a new baby welcome gift. The finished monkey is very soft and huggable. It is just too cute for words.

Oh my goodness. Look at that! It's so cute I can't stand it! I just have to make it for my grand son. I always call him my little monkey. And I can add either magnets or Velcro to the ends of the paws and he can play piggy back with him!
