Stoney Pebbles Crochet Blanket
"When designing the Stoney Pebbles Baby Blanket I used only single crochets and half double crochets! That’s it! The half double crochets are worked a little different than you may be used to but that is what gives this blanket the stoney pebble like look. To finish up and give the blanket a clean look work a single row of single crochets along the edge. This free crochet blanket pattern features worsted weight yarn (4) , a size J 6.00 mm hook."

I love projects with an interesting texture pattern. Why work up something flat when you can make it something really different. This pattern has nicely repetitive sets of rows, and theres only one Special Stitch to worry about. Its nothing to worry about since its just a variation of the Half Double Crochet and is thoroughly explained in the Crochet Abbreviation section.

Wow what a interesting pattern this Stoney Pebbles Crochet Blanket is. I really like the look of this one and the new stitch of the special half double crochet is very unique! I think this is a very intriguing stitch and so need to try it. This blanket will be great for fall and winter with a nice texture unlike any other that I have seen. This one is on my long "must make list". Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet blanket pattern.

This finished stony pebbles crochet blanket provides a lot of texture. Not only will it be a warm blanket but the baby will have a field day caressing this blanket. Baby will appreciate the subtle stimulation.

It's amazing how you can use only a couple of crochet techniques and just a little yarn and create something so amazing. This stoney pebble crochet blanket has so much texture and is simply beautiful. Any new parent would love to add this beautify blanket to the new baby collection and be more than proud to consider it a new family heirloom to pass along to the next generation.

Very short list of supplies needed to make this baby blanket. The chosen color is a little dark for my taste, but that is an easy fix by just buying different yarn. Looks like the perfect size to use as a carseat or stroller cover. Looks like a very good every day blanket for the newborn.

This would absolutely be the perfect gift for a pet lover! It is just the right size for a small dog or a cat. Drape this on their favorite chair or use it in your car to protect your seats. A full sized blanket for your bed would be a great idea as well. Her pattern is well written with plenty of pictures!
